fanart: even though my love is small

So, I promised bell Princess Tutu fanart for her birthday more than a while ago! Hopefully I'll be forgiven for my less-than-punctual reply.



I thought it would be fitting to have Ahiru in her element: surrounded by water, and near another bird. ♥ bell, let me know if you'd rather wait for a Photoshop base, or if you'd prefer a colored pencil version.

;_____; This came out so pretty! There's something amazingly sweet and gentle about it, like a child's tale, or a childhood memory. Faded, soft, poignant. I love that the bird brought Ahiru her shoe, and I love Ahiru's foot there-- of course she'd be barefoot. The bird especially captures my attention, alert and thoughtful. ♥

As for coloring... I don't know! :D; I think colored pencils would keep the soft, gentle spirit, and I know you know how to use them. But if you feel like Photoshop would be better...?

♥ ♥ ♥ I'm glad you like it, bell. (The bird wasn't supposed to be there, originally! But as I was working on the sketch, it became my favorite part of the picture.) There's something about doing fanart for Princess Tutu that makes me happy, too.
