faster than the speed of night
Sep. 2nd, 2009 12:04 amGot rid of all the numbers from my entry headers. After a while, they began to get annoying and cumbersome.
I think it was bell who warned me that doujinshi collecting was a slippery slope. I should have taken her advice, because I'm fairly sure I've fallen down and can't get back up. No, seriously. Before this year, I never bought a single one. I kept seeing them online and at Otakon, but I refused to cave. "They're expensive and overpriced!" I thought. "I'll look at them once and then put them away. I can save my money for more worthwhile things."
But going to Ikebukuro and (more importantly) Mandarake was a mistake, because they have slowly begun to chip away at my self-control. Now I keep looking at the doujinshi being sold on the J!Yahoo Auctions, and the shipping services on Celga.
I WANT OUT.
I also have Bonnie Tyler's Faster Than The Speed of Night stuck in my head, but this is less of a problem, I think.
