There's nothing quite like finding out a professor sleeps with his students to make your respect for him drop through the floor. Or if not the floor, another really low-tiled place. Do not feel comfortable taking this class anymore.
In better news, a kind soul uploaded the DVD of Sakamoto Maaya's live tour this year, Kazeyomi. Onto Youtube. AND IT IS AMAZING. Just the string section...! Live, Kaze Ga Fuku Hi sounds even more wonderful than the studio track, something I thought impossible to pull off until now. Listen to the line 「遠い空感じて生きてる」 and tell me you disagree.
That said, every song pretty much blows me away. Especially the backing orchestra on Hikari Are and the drums for Kiseki no Umi.
Plus she sings Empty the Pocket at the very end. This fills me with joy, since it was the second song I heard of hers* back in high school. And here, the crowd sings along at the chorus, which is adorable. Now I remember why I've always considered her my favorite jpop artist.
I put it on my playlist with all the songs in order here. Listen to it, especially if you need a pick-me-up!
*After downloading it on Napster, and singing it over and over again, that is.
