Although I do remember thinking about this post when my English lit prof brought up the associations of women with flowers in poetry - not necessarily that it's specific phrases, but just an association that's pretty common.
The only other things I can think of are terms like "shrinking violet" and "wallflower" but those can be gender neutral, I guess?
